In 1995 F C Dubbelman registered the Firm Gauteng Business Consultancy which was renamed F C Dubbelman & Associates in March 2010, a firm specializing in advising local and foreign clients in matters relating to foreign trade, particularly remedies available to deal with unfair trade practices within the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) market, tariff issues, market intelligence and customs solutions.

Since trade remedy investigations have been conducted in SACU F C Dubbelman & Associates has been involved in more than 70% of all anti-dumping, countervailing and safeguard investigations handled by the BTT and its successor, the International Trade Administration Commission.

The Team

Francois Dubbelman

Francois’s experience in trade and industry matters started when he joined the Department of Trade and Industry in 1983 and was a member of the original Dumping Investigations unit at the Board on Tariffs and Trade (BTT), now International Trade Administration Commission. In 1999 he left the public sector as he become aware of the dire need by the industry and market for assistance to deal in the labyrinth of Agreements, Regulation and Acts in the industry and trade environment. He subsequently specialised in trade remedies and tariff management, at both Deloitte & Touche and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Francois then joined in 2005 International Trade Services (ITS) as a partner, which business he converted into ITSTrade (Pty) Ltd in 2008.

In 2010, being well known in the industry to assist trade and industry entities to address and solve trade issues he started F C Dubbelman and Associates building it up as the most recommended trade consulting firm in SACU dealing with trade issues at the Department of Trade and Industry and the International Trade Administration Commission.

Francois Greyling

Qualified attorney that has been dealing since 1995 as Legal Advisor in customs and excise matters at various levels and since 1998 advising on import and export issues. Francois joined F C Dubbelman and Associates in 2017.

Pieter Meintjes

Qualified accountant with experience in Manufacturing Costing, Project Control of Capital Expenditure and Business analysis on future business. Pieter joined F C Dubbelman and Associates in 2018.
